Sombra Wellness Products is seeking a Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our team!

The Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Associate will apply be responsible for verifying delivered items for accuracy, unloading trucks, ensure items are stored safely and in assigned locations, inspect deliveries, and pay great attention to detail to Production staging of raw materials, components, and labels (inventory control). Must be in good physical condition to lift and move heavy items. This position supports both the Shipping Coordinator and the Inventory/ Receiving Coordinator.

  • Comparing purchase orders with invoices and packaging lists.
  • Inspecting deliveries to ensure they match order and invoice criteria.
  • Receiving and signing for deliveries.
  • Unloading deliveries from trucks.
  • Processing returns for incorrect or unsatisfactory items.
  • Organizing and storing received items in appropriate areas.
  • Update and support Inventory Control with received items and inventory needs.
  • Maintaining records of orders, delivery details, scissor, and forklift daily/weekly operational checks etc.
  • Support Inventory Control processes.
  • Drafts and maintains daily, monthly, and quarterly maintenance schedule.
  • Minor facility maintenance duties. (example: HVAC filters, cleaning gutters, lighting etc.)
  • Ensures compliance with health and safety laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Deliver materials, finished products, equipment, and other various items between Sombra facilities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to clearly communicate with other departments and utilize the company's resource planning software.
  • Thorough understanding of products and equipment used in the facilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills, with proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Forklift operator certification required.
  • Scissor lift operator certification required.
  • Current driver’s license and vehicle insurance required.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma/GED.
  • Computer skills and knowledge of data entry and inventory software programs.
  • Basic math skills.
  • At least two years of related experience required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of standing in factory and at times, sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Prolonged periods of being in a confined, awkward, or uncomfortable position
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds at times.
  • Manual dexterity to evaluate, install, and modify equipment.
