Sombra Cosmetics is seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team!

Job Description

This position requires strong sales skills and a self-starter, go-getter personality with great organization and follow-up skills. Identifies, builds and nurtures relationships with contract manufacturing, private label and custom product development customers. In collaboration with COO and CEO, creates pricing for customer products and negotiates costs with customers. Works with production to ensure that orders are manufactured on a timeline and collaborates with shipping to make sure that they get shipped out properly. Works with bookkeeping to confirm deposits on orders and final payment. May help customer create customized labels that are compliant with regulations. Works within a CRM to take customer orders, creates invoices and conduct other customer follow-up. Represents company at several trade shows annually and follows up on contacts made at shows.

Qualifications

  • College degree or sufficient experience to demonstrate business development and customer nurturing expertise
  • At least 2 years experience in account management. Preference given to experience in manufacturing.
  • Intermediate ability with Excel. Facility with numbers. Experience using a CRM.
  • Verbal and written communication skills to properly communicate with fellow employees and with customers
  • Organizational and time management skills to manage multiple demands
  • Experience staffing trade shows, with requisite ability to stand for several hours and maintain enthusiasm and good humor. Also ability to erect heavy trade show display and tear down.
  • Interpersonal skills to manage conflict between business development needs and needs from other parts of the business.
